Inquiry checklist
LED Lighting Inquiry Checklist for Buyers
A complete inquiry gets an exact quotation. Work through the items below and send them with the form; anything left open has to be settled by message exchange before a configuration can be priced.
What to state in your inquiry
- Category and model. Name the category (underwater, fountain, flood, wall washer, linear, inground or spot) and the model if you have one, for example LX-UD005 or LX-XT-001.
- Configuration. State the wattage step, colour or colour temperature, and beam or lens angle you want, exactly as the model page lists the options.
- Control method. State on-off, DMX512, DALI or 0-10V, matching the control options the chosen model lists.
- Installation position. Say whether the luminaire sits underwater, in a fountain basin, recessed in paving, or mounted on a wall or bracket, and give water depth or mounting height where relevant.
- Quantity context. Give the project quantity range so the quotation can be prepared for the right scale.
- Documents. Say which certificate documents you need for the configuration, so they can be prepared with the quotation.
Confirmations that protect your order
Where a source document shows two values for one item, ask for both values to be carried into the quotation as listed, and have the difference settled in writing before production. The clearest examples are the LX-SC-002 protection grade and the bar flood light wattage; the LX-SC-002 page and the bar flood light page show both values side by side. Confirm the protection grade for your configuration before ordering, and confirm minimum order quantity and lead time for your configuration at the same time.
The briefing guide walks through a complete example inquiry, and the two category-level inquiry guides cover linear light inquiries and inground light inquiries, where no catalogue model sits behind the category. For company background before you write, start from the home page.
