Reading the options
Three power steps share one housing and one 165mm face, so the choice between 9W, 12W and 24W is about punch through water, not about the installation opening. The narrow 10° beam carries furthest through a fountain jet column; the 30° beam spreads across a basin floor or a low water wall. Colour choice runs from 2200K warm white through 6500K daylight to full RGBW, and the CRI steps (Ra≥70, Ra≥80, Ra≥90) let a buyer trade colour rendering against the variant structure of the range. Efficacy varies by colour, with the highest figure attached to 6500K and the lowest to RGBW, which is the normal pattern for colour-mixing output.
Control and electrical notes
This model offers four control methods for this model: simple ON OFF switching, DMX512, DALI and 0-10V. A static-white fountain can run on-off; a sequenced colour show needs the DMX512 variant and a controller matched to it, so the control variant belongs in the first inquiry, not the last. The luminaire is Class III and runs on a 24V input at one of three constant-current steps (350mA, 500mA or 700mA), which means the driver arrangement is part of the configuration to settle, alongside the working temperature range of -25°C to +45°C stated for the model.
Where it is used
The model's application is waterscape fountains, and the IP68 grade with an IK08 impact rating suits a fitting that sits in a basin where it can be knocked by cleaning equipment. At 10mm, the super-transparency tempered glass is as thick as any glass in the underwater range — the LX-SC009, LX-BG84786 and LX-UD-001A carry the same 10mm glass — and it is part of why this model carries the fountain positioning.
Confirm before ordering
Confirm the power step, colour variant, CRI variant and control variant for your configuration, since all four are options of one model. Before ordering, confirm minimum order quantity and lead time for your configuration. Certificates available upon request: ask for the documents that apply to the exact configuration in your quotation.
Sizing a fountain around this model
Work backwards from the water. In a shallow, clear basin the 9W step with a 30° beam gives a soft field that suits a low sheet jet or a still reflecting pool with a fountain accent. The 12W step is the middle course most designers start from for a working jet: enough output to stay visible once the falling water turns aerated and white, without burning a hotspot on the basin floor at the 20° setting. The 24W step belongs under taller jets and in deeper basins, where the narrow 10° beam threads the column and the extra output survives the scatter of broken water. Treat those pairings as starting points, and settle the final pairing in the quotation, against your basin drawing.
Installation notes that protect the specification
A 165mm face with a 43mm body depth is a shallow fitting, which suits basins where the floor build-up is thin, but the cable route and the niche or bracket behind that shallow body still need planning before the basin is poured. Keep the tempered glass face accessible: a fitting that cannot be reached without draining and entering the basin will be serviced late, and late servicing is how a healthy seal becomes a failed one. The working temperature range, -25°C to +45°C, covers the water the fitting sits in; a basin that freezes solid in winter is a drainage conversation, not a fitting conversation, and it should happen at design stage.
